Welcome! The Automotive Repair Shop Management Software Standards were created to help shops select the right software and to express some values about what shop management software is now and can become.
See who is already identified for scoring. If you are comparing programs, make sure to use the standard's built in scoring system. Latest Update as of 6/27/09 The shop management software evaluations resume in two weeks. I'm off until then to recharge. Round two of the evaluations has been completed! Round two was the preliminary vendor evaluations. As the scores were released a post was made to the new Auto-Repair-Software.Org Blog. All the round two scores can be viewed on the ratings web page. Round two evaluated vendors, round three will be preliminary evaluations of the programs themselves. Online Forums There are now forums (discussion boards) for each shop management software vendor to improve the direct feedback I receive and to make that feedback more transparent. To use the forums you have to register first. If you want to tell me something in private you still can by using the online report issues form or contact form. Alerts It's a mess out there. See the types of situations I'm coming across as I work in the shop management software field. Report Issues you are experiencing Please help us monitor the vendors by reporting any issues you are experiencing. Directory A directory of all the vendors and programs complete with web site links, ratings details and other important information is being created. I have the basic web pages up already.
