x New/improved functionality is added to R.O. Writer regularly. R.O. Writer is generally kept up to date with technology and the needs of shops however, the last few updates have resulted in serious bugs that the company has not been able to resolve.

x R.O. Writer usually has an average mix of raving fans and dissatisfied users based on several users I have communicated with. Lately I've been getting results of people who have had problem with a recent update. They have stated that for months they have tried to get help resolving the serious issues they have had. Unfortunately they have been mainly ignored.

Reliability of R.O. Writer Now a Concern

I have received several reports recently that the more recent updates of R.O. Writer are causing severe crashes that occur several times a day. The reports state that months of trying to get the issues resolved with the vendor have been unsuccessful. Progressive Automotive Systems has even suggested replacing computers. That did not resolve the problems for any of the reporting shops. Data is lost at times when the system crashes. The reports also stated that pleas to upper management of Progressive Automotive Systems corporate have been ignored.

x I have received several detailed reports recently that the last few updates crash the system. Replacing the shop's PC's as recommended by this vendor does not resolved the problems. Data is sometimes lost. Crashes happen several times a day. Progressive Automove Systems has been unable to resolve the problems.
